Hello World! and fixing bugs
Ahoy there and welcome to the first Immersion Sound Studio log!
I wanted to say thank you to those who have already downloaded the audio game and left such delightful comments. As ISS is a passion project, it means a lot that the game's arrival has such a warm reception.
I can't wait to share more info about the game's origin story and progress in future logs.
For the time being, I wanted to let you all know we have found some bugs in the game's saving function and hope to fix these.
Previously, when the listener pressed S for save, the application would close. I have just uploaded a new version of the game with a save function that hopefully works.
The ISS team is a small one who are learning to produce audio games through the production of ISS, as well as through the advice of our friends, so we are correcting problems found in the game as they arise.
I appreciate your patience with the production of the game. We want the audio experience to be as enjoyable and easy to play as possible but it may take some time to make ISS the platform we want it to be.
Oh yes, fantastic news !
We are currently working on an Apple Intel and Windows version of ISS so I will keep you updated with their progress.
By the way, if you would like to play through the game without hearing the cutscenes, you can press the C key, whilst in a soundscape, to turn off and on cutscenes. The C key won't turn off the first and final cutscenes though.
The C key as well as some more cheeky keys that may or may not be mentioned throughout the game can be found in the Immersion Sound Studio Key PDF.
In conjunction, for those who may be interested in the beautiful art work featured in the game, you have access to a PDF containing a written description of both the icon and cover art.
These documents and a thank you note can be downloaded along side the game itself.
That's all for now.
Thank you again and I hope to make another log soon.
